If your cover crop plots are holding their own on the ridges I would consider that a success. Just my thinking
Wooo!! I'm the 500th like!! Love yhe videos!
Let's do it Amish style!! Lol
Matt enjoying all the videos, could you please send us some of the rain that y’all are getting to NC
Most bios are overated i stopped using them its easier and seed companies change varities so much hard to get accurate data, make farming simple watch neighbors let them be guinea pigs lol
Darn good camera shots Andy, Matt must have taught you well 😉
The paint job you did last year looks good
You’re wet and we’re burning up in North Carolina. The fat lady’s making an album this week here. That’s the life of a farmer 🤷♂️. Good luck and great videos.
I might not plant a grain of wheat next year getting too big and too hard get it all done especially with the weather being bipolar
Same here in graves county. Not planting any wheat next year.
LOL I’m sure your brother sleepy joe will donate to your shop go fund me.
dang weather can be so different you guys are wet and here where i live southeren IN we are under a burn ban from lack of rain
Yep. Thought we were going to get planted early this year but that didnt work out. Middle april the ground was so hard the planter wouldnt even cover the seed then the rain came for 17 days. Did bet done just not when we wanted too. Stand kinda questionable too. Just cant shake the feeling im just not excited about the year this year. Hope your going to great. Just dont feel that way in mid tn.
Your plot is telling you that if you where no tilling it would be seeing what you’re cover crops are doing
Parts an hour away. Get an extra so next time you will have it on hand.
We were wet in spring and now the corn is rolling up here in southern middle Tennessee.
I love the sound of an axial flow combine revving up when the threshing system is engaged. For the part where you were talking about making a decision if to fungicide your corn or not I hardly ever see anyone in my area here in Central Louisiana fungicide corn anymore. Instead they will top dress right when the corn fields just starts to make the first tassels some dry granules that look exactly like wheat seed, but I was told is ammonium sulfate.
70 bu wheat is not bad even in a good year in our part of south ga
It’s not bad but my expectations every year is 85 or above
Matt you guys are wet and we’re bone dry here on the eastern shore of md. The corn all looks like pineapples and some of the earliest stuff planted that isn’t irrigated has head spots out in it. I only have one pivot and the corn under it is head high and the dry corners are barely waste high. The poor soybeans are holding on but they’ve been about the same size for a month now. I just came off of a terrible wheat crop 60bu is what it averaged we had 30 plus inches of rain over the winter and a lot of it was underwater for a majority of that time. We’re leaving it in the lords hands but it sure is scary this is my second year farming on my own.
It seems as if farming has become all about surviving the extremes
Griggs Dion wade ❤😊 3:14 tylen
1:45 Since when does Matt’s Combine have a folding grain tank!?!? Yes just now leaving this.
I'll buy that planter .you can have mine.
🦾🦾
Flustering 😂
I heard this from a western wheat farmer. " The reason you have two combines is so you can hope one will be working"! Everything is getting more and more complicated making everything more and more difficult to repair 😢
why not spray it eariler planter would do better job planting into dead stuff parquat takes maybe day or two to work
i live in obion county n i believe we have too much rain.
first time viewer, all the trouble you were having makes for good content, keep the good content coming.😀
Doing my best to get a boring video for yall!
@@griggsfarmsllc I suspect that if all your videos were good content videos the bank would be ones making the videos.
In south ga we went from wet to dry and burning up our dry land corn is about completely burned up
Just found your channel, love real farmers, I even subscribed. But I had to unsubscribe, sorry. Once I saw the Trump flag it was a hard no thank you. Sir, you seem like such a hard working, true blue American. I'll NEVER understand how millions of seemingly good Americans could ever support such a slick con man, that's racist as hell, bankrupted virtually every business he's ran. Trump isn't the problem, HIS SUPPORTERS are the problem. History will look very badly upon his supporters.
Isn’t that the beauty of America, the FREEDOM to have their own beliefs and voice.
Look like need a new one
Good video good to see y'all
I hope you have a good wheat harvest with any bad breakdowns!
I’ve been saying for a couple years now that anything made after 2020 is hit and miss.
get rid of trump sign neither ome is worth it
Looks like an oil leak on the right side by the front tires.😢
No oil leak
Hello from northern Wyoming, I almost didn't say anything. I'm not a hater. Thanks for showing all the bad stuff, it helps me cope with my break downs.👍
@@wysurvivor no problem I appreciate your helpfulness
Send some rain to Eastern Kentucky we are in a draught
Good luck with your combine the problem IS Computers all electric there ant nothing. Simple to work on any more you tell it like it is break downs and all
Here in the piedmont of nc we whet from rain every few days to begin burnt up corn just when it tassels ing.Hope every thing goes good for you
Congratulations on the wheat harvest! Ours wasn’t as good here in western kentucky. I enjoy seeing people do well!. Good for y’all!.
This is the part of farming I hated. Fix, Fix, Fix!
One of the things I love about your all’s channel is that you show the good the bad and the ugly. Most channels just show the easy side of farming. I’ve farmed most of my life and very seldom does everything go right. Most of the time there are challenges every day. I hate you all are having bad luck harvesting but do appreciate you show the real side of farming. Hope things get better! God bless!
Nice drone shot
Good lord telling you put that cotton ground to beans
Good lord will give you anymore then you can with stand I just wish he would ease off a little bit lol
What tractor do you use to pull your grain buggy?
New Holland T7.270
Glad to see cutting started. We’ve cutting here in northern Oklahoma for 2 weeks results spotty due to hail damage and not enough rain when we needed it. Price good however. Good luck with harvest and stay safe.
The thing to remember Matt, is that God is still in control. And everything is for His children's best! Good times and bad, recognize the blessings.
My grandmother used to say god only tests the good ones I’m guessing your being tested
Normally I’d have a funny response to that I usually tell people the scrotum valve is bad but your under a lot of pressure take a few steps back take a deep breath everything will be ok
Hey Matt. it just goes to show you color doesn't matter it all breaks sooner or later.Good video ,thanks.
